UPCOMING SUMMER VACATION:

I will be on vacation for the months of June and July. All new orders are now being placed on my production schedule for August. If you would like to place an order, please know that I will not begin working on the order until August...I already have a couple of orders on my schedule for when I return from vacation, so please make sure you allow plenty of time for me to create your custom order :o) My shop will be back to normal work schedules beginning on August 1st.

Please read the above announcement under "Upcoming Summer Vacation"....the following information is for when my shop is at normal work schedule time frames....my shop will be on vacation for June and July. All new orders for custom items have a completion time frame of 6-8 weeks from the purchase date (does not include the shipping travel time) ....this is due to the amount of orders currently on my schedule. All "READY TO SHIP" items will be shipped either on the same day the item is purchased or the next business day :o) Please convo me and we will begin the ordering process :o) If you would like to order an item, please allow plenty of time for the order to be completed as well as shipped. All orders are placed on my production schedule once payment is received....first come, first served :o)

THE DESIGNER OF ONCE UPON A BUSTLE: ESTHER SKANDUNAS

Sewing is my life.....LITERALLY!! I am a professional Theatrical Costume Designer and Dressmaker. I have been sewing since birth...almost!!! I have been a professional seamstress for the past 16 years and I am pleased to finally share my work with the rest of the world!

I began sewing at the age of 5...with my mother teaching me. From there I continued to sew through grade school, junior high, and once I hit high school I was able to enroll in an ROP course for Fashion Production. Upon graduating high school I was hired as a seamstress for the OLD GLOBE THEATRE in San Diego at the age of 17. I was a seamstress for the theatre for 6 years.

I now work at a local community college in San Diego as the Costume Manager/ Technician. I was hired at the college on my 24th birthday, and I have been in charge of costume creation and construction at the college for 9 years now. I am now 33 years old and decided to open up an Etsy shop last year because I LOVE to make beautiful quality pieces and I wanted the general public to be able to purchase my creations.....not just have them be on stage in the theatre :o)
