I have always been crafting. My husband is a painter and refinisher of about 40 yrs. and I worked many of them with him so it wasn't hard for me to turn to crafting and wood crafting. My husband has taught me how to make a simple wood knob look like porcelain .
I don't use the normal craft paints and finishes . I use furniture grade products. of course they cost much more and take a lot more work but make a huge difference in the end product and don't yellow and turn orange the way craft finishes tend to do quickly, I have tried most of them.
My shop was born when my first grandson was just ready to be born and we bought him a dresser that had knobs but received a dresser with handles. what to do with the set of care bear knobs I had made for his dresser.
So I sold them online. then had many requests for more since I had so many bids on that one set I made another set and then another and my store was born. I had only been doing them before that for friends and family.
. That was back in 2007 and there weren't that many of us selling knobs like there is now. be assured of a great product and I am a fussy seller that will not ship imperfect items . I put them on sale and do not ship them to you that way If I do miss any imperfections please let me know. and will always get the order out in the 7 to 9 days ,, haven't missed that deadline in 7 yrs. no waiting weeks to get your order, because I don't take more orders than I can fill in the allotted time.
I do work alone so to keep up with the shipping , emails decorating and painting and designing I can only take so many orders a day and do try to be open from late morning to early evening Mon thru Fridays. weekends I am closed , I use that time for catch up , painting knobs and family time . If you see me closed please try anytime Mon thru Friday 1 pm to 6 pm , I am almost always open those times.
