My work is influenced by Victorian and Art Noveau drawings, as well as by botanical and scientific drawings. My pieces are laced with the
superstitions and folklore that I cannot escape, giving credence to my
internal narratives. I like to think of my work as a blend of the natural and
mystical worlds; to me, there is often magic and intrigue in subtle places we
often overlook. Being born in Southern Louisiana, I grew up enamored with the
ornate iron balconies of New Orleans, of which the influence still heavily
affects me. I Often view my pieces as small treasures that could possibly be
stumbled upon in a curiosity cabinet. Ultimately my goal is to create pieces
that capture the mystery and elegance of the tales I grew up hearing, and
transfer that experience to others!
