The shearing season has begun!
The wool and fibers I use come from a sheep shearer which has won the Dutch national shearers award in 2011 (he will competing this year again).
His technique is innovating, sheep friendly and stress reducing for the sheep.
I wash, card and dye the fleece from scratch by hand.
(Colored by me with professional dyes)
Sometimes I use commercial top or dizzed (hand) roving made by others.
The rest of the fibers are natural (like Bamboo, Silk) or natural artificial fibers. (like Tencel, Soy Silk) Also some synthetics like Firestar and other sparkles.
