Frequently asked questions
What do I fill my draft stopper with?
I frequently get asked what to use for fillers. Basically, just
about anything that will fit! I have compiled a list from both
myself and my very savvy customers. Some suggestions are: rice (about 4-5 lbs. for a 36” length), beans, coffee beans, natural kitty litter, sand (would use clean play sand purchased at any hardware store), aquarium rocks, polyfil – use stuffing from old pillows, rolled up newspaper, old tee shirts, plastic grocery bags, wood shavings, pop corn kernels, small rocks, old blankets or sweat shirts (cut up), sawdust
If using anything that is light in weight, simply put a small
rock at each end and one in the middle for added weight.
Do you give a discount on multiple purchases?
Many of my orders for both my draft stoppers and pillow covers are multiple purchases. I do offer discounts for purchases of seven or more of my items. Please contact me for specific discounts as it varies depending on the number of items you are purchasing and the fabric availability.
Do you offer combined shipping?
Yes, I do offer combined shipping. My listings are set up so that any additional item you purchase is $1.50. (This price is for domestic orders only.)
You do not need to do anything to get combined shipping. It will be calculated for you at check-out.
