The inspiration for my artwork is always found in the natural world- many times from trees, flowers and vegetables found right outside my door!
POTTERY
I like to make pots that people will use in their everyday life- cups, bowls, trays, vases...
My pottery is sometimes wheel-thrown, sometimes hand-built, and sometimes a combination of the two. I use simple celadons and ash glazes to enhance the surface of my textured pots, and lots of multicolored stripes on my wheel thrown pots.
PRINTS
I make one-of-a-kind monoprints and collagraph collages, and also limited edition linocuts and woodcuts. The subjects in my prints are usually landscapes or up close studies of leaves, flowers and trees.
My newest prints, although also nature inspired, are more experimental and abstract than my previous work. These new collagraphs are made with many runs through the press, building up thick layers of texture and color.
All unframed prints come mounted on foamboard and covered with a plastic sleeve and SHIPPING IS FREE (within the u.s.)!
