We are Rie. Rie is laughter and art in new combinations daily. We enjoy our whimsical approach to the creation of art, our view being a bit quixotic. As Don Quixote saw inherent beauty and challenge in the everyday objects and folk he encountered, we are looking anew at ways to express the beauty around us.
We currently have a line of contemporary handmade fashion accessories, a form of wearable art, to reflect your individuality. We update regularly, as inspiration allows. Choose several of our very affordable pieces to accent your wardrobe.
Likewise, we are introducing our own expression of signpost art. Each piece is hand-painted and one of a kind, and may feature local or international sites, events, favorite places, or ideas. Using found wood from historic Charleston and around the area, we have been known to scrounge around as old homes are being restored or repaired, and even occasionally dumpster dive, to get really cool old wood. Then we re-paint, reuse. Each piece has its own history and unique quality of shape, color, and texture, a provenance of sorts. They are our expression of art for your home, office or event.
