Welcome to Recycling Zychal, home of the handmade Upcycled Umbrella Rain Coat! We've been featured on PEOPLEpets, Tree Hugger, CNBC, The Los Angeles Chronicle, PetSugar, Inhabitat, GirlyGirlArmy, ReadyMade, iHeartSwitch, and Philadelphia Weekly (PW) blogs and are very excited about the press we are receiving!

Everything you see on the site is made with broken umbrellas and is handmade by me, Taryn Zychal, in lovely Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our most popular product, the Upcycled Umbrella Dog Rain Coat and Winter Dog Coat keep your pets dry on the outside and with your choice of Eco-Fi felt lining or a vintage lining, keep your pooch looking fresh and staying dry on the inside.
We also offer HOODs for women, which are modern day babushkas, and Organic Cat Nip filled Kitty Toys that will make your kitty go nuts!

Saving umbrellas from the bottomless landfills they would have wound up in is only half of it, we are currently accepting any and all broken umbrellas that you may have or find.
At this time we will be donating $1 to the Morris Animal Refuge for each broken umbrella donated! If you are interested in donating some of your broken umbrellas or setting up a broken umbrella collection bin at your business, please message me for details!

PLEASE NOTE: Nearly ALL of the umbrellas up for sale can be made into ANY SIZE DOG COAT. Many of the umbrellas are actually very large and don't require any special sewing treatments to patch the fabric together. If you have a large dog, please message me, we can work something out! :)

Unless otherwise mentioned, your coat will get to you within 2-3 weeks of purchase date or earlier.
