I found Etsy Helping my daughter in law to be, get ready for her wedding in 2010. I have always loved vintage treasures & get a kick out of upcycling items that are no longer loved & tossed aside. The saying "One mans junk is another mans treasure" definitely resonates with me. There is nothing more satisfying to me than to seeing an item that needs a little tender loving care at a thrift shop or a garage sale and then restoring the item or repainting it giving the item new life & beauty, which makes many of my items unique.
I am very meticulous about my work and care about my customers. My customers are VERY important to me! I have many repeat customers that I am very thankful for. I love customizing my orders so if you have an idea or a particular color you would like me to do I am more than happy to work with you. My customers special request ideas have turned out to be some of my top repeat selling items:)
I began my Red Egg Boutique shop on on Etsy in 2011. I really enjoy my job and the creative process! It is fun to make a living doing something you love. I was the first person on Etsy to paint & distress vintage patterned glass vases. Painting & distressing the vases gave me the idea to start painting and distressing my cup cake and cake stands. The distressing on the painted vintage patterned plates brings out the pretty design of the plates and makes it so people can have their cake stand color and style customized for their individual weddings.
I also very much enjoy creating customized frame sets using new & vintage frames in a simple style, an ornate style, or a mix of both styles that I hand paint for each customer.
I love being on Etsy....It is like a little family unit. I appreciate all of the talent & uniqueness of me fellow Etsy sellers.
