Welcome
Q: What are Sometimes Jiggly Wiggly Always Awesome Robots?
A: They are one-of-a-kind (ooak) polymer clay art sculptures handmade by me, HerArtSheLoves! Though they have those most adorable child like faces, you cannot play with them as this could damage the sculpture.
Q: Who makes these robot sculptures and why?
A: ME! Nice to meet you. *waves I'm an artsy gal that goes by HerArtSheLoves. I'm an digital illustrator and polymer clay artist, BUT most importantly an uber nerd. All manner of sci-fi, I freakin' love. Why make robots? Because THEY ARE AWESOME. K-9, Bender, Robbie the Robot... I get to work with an art media, I feel in love with as a child and get my geek on every day.
Q: History & Highlights?
A: Since 2009 I been fortunate enough to make robots of all sizes and shapes, highlights includes Wedding Cake Toppers and my Grungy Bot series. Some of my robot sculptures are to appear in an Independent 3D Horror Movie called HellBenders! Selection robots appeared at the Robot Revolution Art Show in Springfield MO. Crazy town awesome!
Q: Why the little heart?
A: Because we all need a little heart in life.
Q: Are the Robots toys? Q: Do the Robots move?
A: NO, even though they look cute and have springy necks, arms and legs they are NOT bendable! The Jiggly Wiggly Robots are art sculptures, I used lighter coiled wire on some of the earlier Robots and when picked up and lightly shaken went all “jiggly wiggly” thus the name. NOW, all Robots are constructed with a harder wire.
Q: How are they made?
A: Each robot is handmade. Polymer clay is shaped into robotic goodness, beads added for eyes and wire woven into springs to make the neck, arms & legs (coiling gizmo rocks). After baking, multiple coats of varnish are brushed on for protection and shiny delight.
Q: Have a question? Q: Want a custom Robot?
