Growing up in rural Indiana, I was surrounded by incredibly creative and intelligent family members who were constantly working with their hands. Creating, engineering, making, improving, nurturing - the work of a farming family is never done. My heritage is rooted deep in the hills and plains of the Midwest and Appalachia; my family history upholds mastery of sewing and quilting as an art form.

I've been told I have an old soul, that I was born in the wrong era... for me, anything old is new. I grew up showing horses, watching a lot of westerns, and listening to country music and bluegrass. It was a very natural progression for me to move towards vintage inspired western wear, with a twist of pinup girl glamour thrown in for good measure. Each garment I make is infused with a lot of love and careful attention to detail. My emphasis is on technical prowess, and western wear is very complicated; engineering the advanced sewing processes used to make each of my garments is truly a delight for me. I graduated from both Purdue University and the Fashion Institute of Technology with degrees in fashion design in 2007.

My husband and I now live in the high desert of Southern California, where I'm constantly inspired and enchanted with the landscape surrounding our home. I start each day with a cup of tea and a nod of appreciation to the sun shining over our valley before heading out to my workshop, where I will be creating something wonderful.
