Rockstardina's Shop Announcement

Dina Chavez is a custom women's apparel designer, active in the Austin fashion scene whose elegant designs can be described as sensually classic. She studied Costume Design at the University of Texas at Austin as well as Fashion Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Ms. Chavez gathers inspiration for her designs from Art, in all its many forms, classic, film, pop culture, architecture, etc., the pieces themselves a celebration of aesthetics. Her designs have been featured in several publications including Austin Lifestyle magazine and FashionablyAustin.com and she was nominated for 2010 Austin Fashion Week’s Best Mash Up Team Critiques Choice and People’s Choice Awards. Past showings of her collections have been at Mimosa Sunday, Jazz, Splash and Couture, Top Austin Model Finale, Bon La Vu Fashion Show + Launch Party, and Austin Fashion Week including the Fashion Show at the Capitol, all local Austin events and participated in the Fashion Night at the Villa in McAllen, TX.

Dina will be an official showcase designer during Austin Fashion Week 2011, launching a website and her new apparel design company Sixchel. This brand will represent the many faces of the modern urbane woman, sophisticated, smart, confidently sexy and stylish as a matter of fact. The wearers of Sixchel are not afraid to express their voice, ideas, mood or style...they epitomize one who is strong to stand alone or strong enough to head her family...they are lovers of life and live it...they are proud to show their sexy bodies in all its forms...they evoke confidence, and can silence a room upon entering. Dina’'s line will be simply this, beautifully made clothes worn by the woman who is Sixchel, Sexy Chic Cool Chic
