RogersLooms' Shop Announcement

I used to make my Hideaway Homestead brand triangle looms with long, one-piece hypotenuse rails. Now that it is hard for me to get long re-cycled carpet tubes for shipping, I do not have these looms available. UPS shipping rates are especially high for long packages. I am working on a new Hideaway Homestead triangle loom, which ships in the 48" or 52" box that I have. The hypotenuse rail of the 4' and larger Hideaway Homestead branded trilooms will consist of two wood pieces joined by a metal bracket. I have finally discovered a rail joining system that I like. These looms are made of 3/4" thick oak wood that is available to me locally, another reason for me to get back to making these triangle looms. There are other positive features of this take-down system, look for listings for my new Hideaway Homestead trilooms for more.

I have been researching better ways to make my Hideaway modular rectangle looms, the movable rail attachment in particular. All current listiings for my reclooms have these improvements.

I have just put up a new page on www.offgridlife.com about some weaving experiments I am doing with CSW on rectangle looms. In particular, what pin spacing and what size makes the best scarves with worsted weight yarn. Lots of photos. 1/18/12.

All the looms listed here are completed and ready to ship from Arizona as soon as I package them. Etsy listings have a flat shipping rate but I can look up a shipping cost for you for your zip code. I like doing custom orders and welcome your inquires. You can find more info on my looms at www.offgridlife.com and free continuous strand weaving instructions for the triangle, rectangle, and square.

NOTICE - January 3, 2012 - I am located in a remote area 40 miles from town, with no UPS or USPS pick-up or delivery to my home. To save on fuel, I will try to ship out only 2 days a week. If I get an order on Monday, it might wait until Tuesday. If I get an order on or before Friday morning MST, I will get it out that day to avoid a weekend-long delay.
