Announcement
Heirloom quality Custom Woodworking, Bulletin and Chalk Boards Organizers, Calendar Frames, Key Hooks, Dry Erase Organizers, Family Command Centers and more!
Please see individual listings for build and shipping times. If I expect delays for any reason I'll be sure to contact you. Note that I may periodically close down and stop taking new orders so I can catch up on my work. I take my lead times very seriously and if I feel things are starting to overwhelm me, I will close for a few days to a week to give myself some additional time (if I work too quickly I can very easily lose a finger....knock on wood) I appreciate your patience.
I believe in providing a high quality product at a fair price, and I hope to hear from you soon!
Ask me about custom colors and sizes for your item! I welcome requests for custom versions of the items I have posted here on Etsy (size, color, material etc...) and also items you may not be able to find elsewhere. Convo's and quotes are free....so ask away!

Frequently asked questions
Can I use colors other than the given options?
Absolutely. I can use almost any color! As a reference you can use either the Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams Color charts to make selections. There is an additional charge of $40 CAD and the color change only applies to painted items. If you would like this option just let me know the color you would like through a message and I will create a custom order for you to purchase. Ready to ship items can not have color changes. If you have any additional questions please feel free to ask! For those looking to match or figure out how the white will look with trim....I use Benjamin Moore Colour #CC-40 “CLOUD WHITE” and a standard Bright White.
Can I change the size or some aspect of the design for the items you offer?
In most cases yes. There are some limitations due to the existing size of some inserts (most notably the calendar dry erase items) and shipping constraints, but size changes can usually be accommodated. The charge for custom size or design changes depends on the specifics of what the changes are but if you contact me and let me know what sort of changes you would like I can put a price together for you which will include any possible shipping charge changes.
What Colors do you use? Is the picture accurate?
Monitor settings and pics can always leave a bit question when it comes to colour. I do my best to make sure the photos are accurate. For reference here is some info;
Black - Black
Standard White - Benjamin Moore Colour #CC-40 “CLOUD WHITE” which is a slightly off white.
Bright White - a stark white better for aligning with white trim. Bright White ND in the selection menu means No Distressing which seems to be a popular option.
Brown - Benjamin Moore Colour #2114-10 “BITTERSWEET CHOCOLATE”
Barn Red - This is a Red with a "brownish" tint. It is not a firetruck red
Grey - this is a combination of a few greys I had used in the past so unfortunately there is no color code to reference. This one is custom.
Why does it take so long to ship?
It's not just the time to build, but the time to keep up with the demand. I've been very busy with orders coming in and I'm a one man show. I build items in the order they are placed except where I see opportunity to build multiples of a single item that will reduce the time for everyone. I may take a little longer than some, but I will never cheat on quality and if that means taking just a little longer to build it right then that's how it needs to be. Like my better half says; It may take a little longer now, but years from now all you will say is that it is a high quality item, not that it took 8-10 weeks. Quality is my number one goal. (and to keep all my fingers)
How do you price your items?
I give each item the attention and time it deserves and I only use materials that I feel is of the highest quality...lumber, hardware, inserts, finish, etc. I work by hand and believe the prices are fair considering what goes into each piece. Prices are in $CAD so there may be some fluctuation based on the current exchange rate if viewing in $USD or other currency (this can also explain the price not being rounded off in currencies other than CAD). My goal is to make items that will last that can be passed on to future generations. As my banner says...."Heirlooms in the making".
How do you support shipping? Is it the customer's responsibity if something "goes wrong"?
I insure all items that leave my shop. If there is damage I ask that photo's be sent to me of the box and the item damage so I can make an insurance claim with the postal service. The final resolution will depend on the circumstances but my goal is to ensure you are happy with the outcome. These things happen very rarely but by no means think that you are responsible to sort things out, we'll get through it together. In cases where the item is lost in shipment it would be treated similarly but would be dependent on the postal service finishing an investigation.
How long does shipping take?
For USA and Canada orders typical time is about 5 business days.
For Ontario orders it is usually a little shorter at 3-4 business days.
Local orders in the Greater Toronto Area can be in 1-2 business days.
For overseas the shipping time can vary but Canada Post does advise that times can exceed 5 or 6 weeks.
NOTE: These times are estimates and can be exceeded in some cases..for example, in my experience January and February are notorious for having longer delivery times.
For places not included above just let me know and I'll look it up for you. Times are also communicated when items are being shipped.
Tracking with Canada Post and the USPS can be done through Etsy in your order section or at www.canadapost.ca / www.usps.com.
Do you still have hair on your head?
No! Arghhhhh..!!!
Can I order more hooks than shown?
Absolutely....if you are interested just send me a note and I can let you know the cost and if the requested number of hooks will fit on any given design. For ready to ship items this can not be accommodated.
Why are the majority of your items made to order?
I do occasionally offer items that are already made but for the most part most customers are looking for customization for insert type (cork/chalkboard/dry erase/calendar, color, size, hook type, etc...). It was just too difficult to provide for every version of an item so instead I decided to focus on the customization of certain designs to ensure I provide the perfect item for my customers.
