Welcome to Rubanesque!
Inside a dusty cardboard box, nestled forgotten treasures, hidden for years in a drawer in my grandfathers office in St. Etienne. A selection of precious ribbons from his family’s silk factory, Julien Faure, in St. Etienne, France.
Gifted to me, I have been lovingly crafting one-off (and truly so as no other piece of identical ribbon exists) handmade jewellery, combining these turn-of-the-century ribbons, heavily laden with gold thread and hand trimmed silk velvet, with Swarovski crystals embellishments to bring you luxe, contemporary pieces with a touch of old school glamour.
UPDATE: The first 20 purchases on Rubanesque will be gift packaged in a French antique embossed-card gift box which I picked up in an antique market in Provence.
