SESDesignJewelry's Shop Announcement

I am the product of two parents who attended college to study art. My mother studied painting and fashion design and my father studied illustration. He went on to become a modernist architect. A modern design aesthetic surrounded me growing up with mid-century furniture by Ray and Charles Eames, George Nelson, Hans Wegner, Gio Ponti and many other masterful designers. These influences, along with my mother’s modern jewelry collection, left an indelible impression on me and continue to inform my jewelry design.

I too attended college for art, earning a BFA in photography at Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts. In 1999 I began working with metals, and designing and producing jewelry.

I aspire to work that has modern, clean lines and a minimalist look. At times I combine this aesthetic with more organic forms and elements. I view the design process as an art form and find the line between sculpture, painting, object, furniture design, architecture and jewelry to be a fluid one.

My goal is two create two types of jewelry, the first being one of a kind, statement pieces that function as artistic and sculptural adornment. The second type is limited edition pieces that can be worn every day and mixed with my one of a kind work.

I work primarily in sterling silver but also use gold, brass, gemstones and pearls. For more information on materials, please see the product description and the information page.

I hope you enjoy this work and please contact me if you have any questions or would like more information.
