Designing & creating OOAK - One-Of-A-Kind art is one of my pleasures. I travel to Accra, Ghana in West Africa frequently. I love the people, their bright colored materials & beads. I sponsor and volunteer at the Universal Wonderful Street Academy - Jamestown, Accra, Ghana - a school for street children as well as children from the fishing village. I found many children/young adults were not in school due to lack of funds so I started buying African beads & materials and decided to design & create beautiful jewelry, handbags, etc to raise money for their schooling. A few friends of mine (in the US, Africa & Columbia) and I are working hard to create beautiful items that we hope you will enjoy. As much as possible we like to use recycled items - beads made from recycled glass, recycled materials - the lining in many of our bags was a flour bag in its previous life as well as many of our patchwork bags were made from scraps that were purchased from tailors who would have burned or trashed them thus helping the environment.
A large percent of our profits go directly to purchase items for the school and/or to help pay for the education, water and/or school lunch for children who might not have had the opportunity. We feel that an education is the best gift we can give them.
Each one of our bags, shoes, boots, accessories, and jewelry are one-of-a-kind (unless noted as a Limited Edition).
By purchasing one of our items, you are giving a unique gift (or receiving one for yourself) as well as helping a child with their education.
We hope you enjoy looking at our items and if you should purchase one or more, we hope you love it as much as we love creating them.
The children, and those of us who make the products, thank you for your purchase.
Our products come from a smoke-free & pet-free shop and home.

5 out of 5 starsI love these fans, I keep giving mine away to people who love it, and I keep buying them. much better than the Spanish abanicos, I am from Spain, so I can tell you, these will stand a lot of abuse, and they will hold and work forever.

5 out of 5 starsSuch a beautiful piece! The quality is superb, and the colors are so vibrant. I framed it in a black frame with a white mat, and I put in the highest point of my kitchen to serve as a reminder that honoring generational gifts is just as critical as overcoming generational trauma.

5 out of 5 starsI like the look and construction of the fan. The fan is a gift for my sister. I haven't given it to her yet, so I cannot speak to sturdiness. Thank you
