Serenity Sheep Woolens ~~~ Home of the Twisted CSA!

SerenitySheepWoolens's Shop Announcement

Welcome to Serenity Sheep Woolens, the selling site for Serenity Sheep Farm. I have been working hard to create new and innovative ways to share my abundance here with you. The most exciting thing I've done here in a while (besides the new lambs each spring) is creating my Twisted Fiber CSA. For those of you unfamiliar with a CSA, there's an brief description over at http://www.localharvest.org/csa/. CSA's are traditionally done with fruits, vegetable, eggs, etc. and are run during the productive months of a garden. My CSA differs in that you buy a share of the sheep operation, thus allowing those who live in urban & suburban areas to become a part of an actual sheep farming operation. We do the work, including checking on the ewes in the dark of night in freezing temps. The product of sheep is their lovely wool, which will be your bounty for becoming part of our farm.

We raise a variety of other animals here and enjoy sharing them with visitors. If you ever have the chance to stop in, please do. We will show you the sheep, goats, pigs and a variety of poultry that wander the 40 acres here, as well as a calf or 3!
We are proud of the fact that we raise all of this sustainably and with the best interest of the land and animals coming first.
I have a large garden and utilize all of the manure from the sheep, goats and chickens. It is all composted a full year before it goes back onto the garden, all natural fertilizer. It's the way things used to be and the way things should be. Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without!
I am also an avid garage saler or should I say addict. You never know what else you might find listed here!
If you take a peek at my "Linens" section, you will find various and assorted fabrics in there, not just linens. I have a thing for fabric or all kinds.

I will ship international, just convo me! I am also happy to combine shipping on multiple sales. Just convo me and I'm happy to do up a special order for you with the combine shipping savings.

***The sheep that is my avitar is named Uncle Goofy. He's quite the sheep and pasture mascot! His yarn is the darkest one pictured in the CSA photo.***
