I'm a fan of texture and color. I like to mix the two in unique ways to provide one of a kind handmade accessories. Between the sewing machine and my knitting needles, I create OOAK handmade accessories from both new and upcycled textiles. Enjoy!
My upcycled items are made from natural fibers that have lost their original purpose in life- until I breathe new life into them as fun accessories! Warm winter accessories, Fall and Spring Fashion, and beautiful cotton prints for the spring and summer seasons!
I ship once a week during the US School year (Sept-Jun). Full time teaching has me strapped for time during the week, so shipments will go out on Monday mornings! (Sunday evening orders will go out in the next week's shipment.) Please take this into account when ordering!
Custom Orders: While I LOVE to make custom requests, during the school year while I'm teaching full time, time does not allow. I'll begin taking custom requests again in July 2012. Thanks so much! ♥Rose
Why do I work with natural fibers?
Acrylics and other man made fibers are generally made from the by-products of oil refining. They are NOT renewable. They ARE flammable. I choose to wear naturally warm, naturally renewable fibers that are 100% better quality than those made by man. Wool, Alpaca, Merino, and Cashmere are shorn from the animal each year- no worries about the damage done to our planet during or because of that process! :)
