Welcome to my Shady Grove Pottery Etsy Shop! Thanks for stopping by. Everything here is designed and handmade by me, Licia Lucas-Pfadt: Wheel-thrown and Handbuilt Porcelain Ceramics. Here is where you will find the sourdough and fermenting crocks, as well as my signature whiskey rockers and clay seed bombs.

Made-to-order listings: I have deactivated all my made-to-order listings (except seed bombs) until July. The garden and children all calling me instead.

I love making things that you can use everyday. Please read each listing carefully to learn about that piece. All my pottery is fired in an electric kiln to a mid-range temperature of 2000 degrees Farenheit. All my slips and glazes are made from scratch in my Montana home studio. They are lead-free and non-toxic. I research and test every glaze that I make to bring you the best, durable, and heirloom pieces.

Creating pottery is a slow and careful process. It cannot be hurried. After the actual designing and creating process, each piece goes through a thorough and accurate drying, firing, cooling, glazing and finally a 2nd and sometimes even 3rd firing.

I ship USPS Priority Mail. Most items are in stock and ready to ship the next day. Some are made-to-order and this will be noted in the listing .

Sending a gift? We can ship directly to the recipient and include a personalized note. Just include the info in your order. I can also gift wrap, for a small charge.
