For as long as I can remember I've been making and creating. My favorite childhood memories are of my Grandparents and the time I'd spend with them. My Grandma was a potter and we would spend hours collecting clay from a local creek, gather fall leaves and later press them into leaf shaped dishes that we'd fire in her kiln and glaze with beautiful colors. I use her clay tools everyday to create the pieces you see in my shop. The calligraphy pen that you see in many of my photos was the pen that she used to sign all of her pieces. My Grandpa was a maker of everything, an architect, designer, entrepreneur and businessman, he was always tinkering with something and collected EVERYTHING. It was from him that I learned to love "old" and be patient - it will happen.
Embracing what I inherited from them has lead me down this path to here.....a business that allows me to be creative and raise my children while I work from home...turning old into new and beloved.
My shop is full of history, there's a story and meaning behind each seal that's still relevant even today. My hope is that you to will find something to treasure and love, to pass along its forgotten story and embrace it's history and timeless beauty.
