Hi! My name is Carol. Welcome to Sheylily where I use my fiber therapy of creating ladies' headbands and scrunchies to express my creative passion. I am the sole owner and crafter at Sheylily, a small hair fashion accessory business located in the heart of Monterey Bay in California.

My goal in life has always been to help others. I understand that feeling good about one's appearance helps boost confidence to help people enjoy life with less worry. I owned an interior design and clothing alterations company for many years in Southern California. Now living in Northern California, I continue to help others by designing hair accessories for ladies of all ages, in all walks of life. I handmake all my hair accessories in my home crafting studio with quality craftsmanship for the best product performance and functionally. Quality fabrics are chosen in a wide variety of beautiful colors and prints and crafted in an array of designs so you can style up your wardrobe to give any outfit that effortless finishing touch.

It is important to me that my customers get the product they want and need. Every woman is unique and wears headbands for many reasons.

A little more about me and my shop.
My mom taught me how to sew at the young age of seven after I tangled up the thread on her Phaff sewing machine. OOPS! Now I have designed everything from theater curtains to animal clothing and have loved every minute of it. After running a successful interior design and clothing alteration business for many years in Southern California I moved back up to my family home on the Monterey Bay and helped my parents through their elder years.

Wanting to start up a business again in a very small country town was only possible to do online. So, Sheylily began to bloom. While caring for my parents I started making handbags and aprons to sell in my shop. It gave my parents so much joy and excitement to see everything I designed.

While looking through family photos I came across some pictures of my daughter wearing some of the headbands that I made for her when she was young. She loved wearing them, so I made some for my shop. My daughter came to visit, loved them, she even did a little modeling for me and took about a dozen headbands. I think this was the universe telling me what to focus on for my shop! I began making patterns and designing headbands for ladies of all ages.

My parents have moved on and now I am on my own and have moved closer to the ocean on Monterey Bay. I have two part-time jobs, one working for a very sweet company where I can walk the cliffs above the ocean every day. My headbands are very comfortable and keep my hair from whipping my face from the ocean breeze. The other is taking care of the elderly. Everyone I work with loves my headbands so much they asked me to make headbands for their granddaughter, daughter, mother, niece, aunt, friends, etc...!

I am so thankful every day that I can use my fiber therapy to design beautiful fashion accessories with quality, functionality, and a never-ending supply of imagination. My passion is to create fashion accessories for ladies of all ages that are unique, beautiful, and fun!
