Announcement    Helping others let their lights shine is the goal of this shop. ShiningCityFound is focused on helping artists from around the world achieve their fullest potential through selling in new markets. The ShiningCityFound Etsy shop is an extension of the Shining City Foundation. The Shining City Foundation has spent over a decade working with partners throughout the world on various projects including the building of medical clinics and support of orphanages. Shining City focuses on supporting and creating initiatives in remote parts of the world to enhance the health and general welfare of underserved people.

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16

This extension of the Shining City Foundation aims to create a new and meaningful market for its members. Mr. Kalungi of Kampala, Uganda and Mr. Kahn of Yunnan Province, China are members of the shop who create the hand made goods. Emily Raecker is the shop operator and reports on a monthly basis to the Shining City Foundation Board of Directors.

ShiningCityFound looks forward to expanding upon the growth of the shop as the members directly benefit through sales. It is a blessing to help others in ways that are not possible in their current location.
