I create one of a kind and limited edition jewelry for the woman much like myself: a woman who is professional or career oriented; who wants to express individuality in their attire, particularly accessories; who is interested in quality as well as fashion; who wants to be in style but not necessarily trendy; and who appreciates her own individuality and sense of self.

I believe my customer wants pieces that are versatile but not boring; that are classic but not old fashioned; pieces that can be worn with a business suit or a dinner dress or a casual Friday outfit or a weekend in the country. My customer is interested in what she can wear to work and look feminine, stylish, individual and always professional.

As a professional working woman, I was always looking for ways to set myself apart in the workplace. I totally believed in the adage to dress for the position you aspire to, not the position you have - project the image you want people to have of you. We, as women, are able to set ourselves apart and to be noticed, to make that all important first impression, to project an aura of competence and authority, in a positive and professional light with our choice of clothing and accessories.

In my long career, I worked in offices that were creative, others were casual, some were conservative. I needed accessories that would allow me to express my individuality and to be noticed, and that would also suit the culture of the office in which I worked. I believe most women are like me - serious about their careers, serious about their families, serious about their leisure time - and want a wardrobe of accessories that fit into all the different aspects of their lives.

I design pieces in many styles - some bold, some an ethnic edge, others classic and tailored, still others with a funky Bohemian vibe. I want pieces that suit my mood and the occasion. I believe most women are like me.

I use materials that I think are beautiful in and of themselves. I let the materials speak to me and play with different combinations until one (or more) clicks into place. I get inspiration for color combinations from almost everywhere – it might be a flower or bouquet, a painting, a dress or fabric, a photo of a beach, a butterfly, or a particularly beautiful bead. I don’t always have a preconceived notion of what I will make…..it may be untidy, but there are usually various loose beads on my work table. Sometimes I put out a bead or finding that I particularly want to use but haven’t quite come up with an idea. And I have found that keeping a few loose beads scattered about has often brought about the Ah Ha! Moment – when beads roll together into combinations that I wouldn’t otherwise have thought of. My method is somewhat organic, rather than disciplined. Essentially, I play with beads. And I have a great time doing it!
