It all started for me several years ago while visiting the Philadelphia Museum of Art where I purchased a small bag of kimono silk squares at the gift shop. As a quilter, I was confident that I would be able to work them into a project. Little did I know that my life would be transformed by that purchase.
I hope you will be inspired by these gorgeous fabrics as well.
All the fabrics listed here are from vintage kimono and haori (jackets) that can no longer be worn. They are 100% silk, or occasionally cotton (yukata) or wool, and have been carefully taken apart in my smoke free home.
Please be aware that monitors differ and therefore the color you see may not be exact. I will try to describe the colors in words to the best of my ability. These are used fabrics and often contain pin holes and other slight damages. Again, I will do my best to describe and photograph any imperfections.
