Hi, we just had a baby! Griffin Soloy was born May 7, 2009, and is taking up most of our time, just at the present. Available items in the store can still be shipped out in a timely manner, but custom orders may take some time. If you see something in our sold section that you really like, please let us know, and we can get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience!


Sleeping Forest Studios is made up of Jai and Lauren Soloy. We make high quality handcrafted wooden objects in our small but mighty shop in rural Nova Scotia. We try to infuse the spirit of Arts and Crafts into everything we make :"Have no object in your home that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful." We say "Why not both?" In a world of mass-produced and disposable items, we find joy in the idea of buying handmade products that will stand the test of time (and we believe they can still be attractive, too!)
