Sonnetarium's Shop Policies
Welcome! I'm a young girl studying in medical school - as such, I am quite busy with schoolwork. However, I will try my best to accommodate you. Feel free to convo me for anything!
I accept paypal only.
I will typically ship within 3-4 business days of receipt of payment. If I have any problems with this (due to other circumstances), I will be sure to let you know and update here.
I will ALWAYS offer delivery confirmation for those packages shipped within the continental United States. Unfortunately, I am unable to do this for international packages.
I do offer international shipping, but this is to be done at your own risk. I cannot be held responsible for packages not arriving in a timely manner because I cannot control customs. Once the package is out of my hands, I cannot control what happens to it. I can send photos of the postal receipt(s) if needed. I do suggest that you go in via group orders if you are international, as shipping will frequently be cheaper and easier this way. I ship international orders always BY BOX.
Refunds and Exchanges

However, if you experience any sort of problem or defect in the quality of your nail polish, please contact me ASAP (with photos) so that I may remedy the situation. I want to work with you to make your experience shopping with me as pleasant as possible.
Please be sure that the polish that you purchase is the one that you want.
If items are received damaged, we request that you please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with a photo.
Additional Policies and FAQs
Q: Do you do customized polishes?
A: Contact me with your desires and I may be able to create one for you, especially if I already have the glitters & pigments required in stock! There is no additional charge for custom polishes, but I cannot guarantee that I have all the glitters that you want. If this is the case, I will let you know. There is no charge for asking. :)
Q: Will you tell me when you restock? Will you send restock notifications?
A: I try to update my header (and occasionally, Facebook) with approximate restock days, but I will refrain from divulging the exact times. Hopefully this will make your life easier and less stressful. if you have any questions feel free to ask!
Q: Please make polishes with hearts/stars/shapes/something!
A: I have found that polishes with such large shaped glitters are harder to get on the brush and apply - formula is important to me. I understand that others may be willing to use the dabbing & fishing technique, but I am not. I have personally not been able to create a polish with such large glitters that is still easy to apply, so I'll leave that to the other indie brands!
Q: How do you test longevity of your polishes?
A: I test them by making a batch and pouring it into the exact bottle with the exact glitters that I offer up for sale, with steel balls and a brush. I then place it on my desk and leave it there to sit for AT LEAST 1 month. (I have a few test bottles that are going for longer - i.e. 7 months, and they will continue to sit). During this time the bottles are exposed to various amounts of sunlight (as it streams in through my window) and heat. I do move the polishes around a little bit (as they sometimes get in the way). I also swatch them on nail wheels consistently throughout this time period. I used to test all polishes for 5 months, and I still do believe in extensive testing. I will test each polish for as long as possible, but testing for extended amounts of time before release is no longer feasible. The polish that you receive should be exactly as pictured and described. If it is not, please contact me before doing anything else!
Q: Do you test each batch?
A: I try my best to test every batch of polish that leaves my hands, and if needed, I will swatch - on a nail wheel - from every bottle necessary to ensure glitter density (if I swatch from a bottle, I will wipe off the bottleneck with a felt pad to make sure that it remains clean). I don't test every bottle for longevity (as that would take too long), but each subsequent batch is made of the exact same materials, so there should be no discrepancy.
Q: What do you use in your polishes?
A: My polishes are created with 100% suspension base and glitter/pigments with no thinning or addition of clear polish to retain the best level of suspension that I can. I pack my polishes with glitter and pigment to ensure that you are getting enough for your money. I honestly don't think my polishes require any regular shaking, as I have observed no sinking whatsoever since I began testing any of them. On the other hand, I have included stainless steel mixing balls - 2 in every polish - just in case! Pigments may settle over time (and by time I mean weeks). Just give it a gentle shake or roll and you'll be good to go for a while.
Q: Can I add thinner to your polishes?
A: Yes! The glitters and pigments should not be affected by any thinner that you add to it. If you think one of my glitter polishes is too dense, adding thinner will help it become more sparse if that is how you prefer it to be. I typically use Sally's thinner, which I have found to be more than adequate, but I'm sure that other thinners will also work well. However, keep in mind that adding thinner may decrease the suspending ability of the polish.
Q: Do you do wholesale?
A: Yes - please contact me for wholesale pricing and arrangements.
