All the work in my shop has been created by me: the drawings, the printing, the dyeing, the sewing and the packaging.
Because images are printed by hand there may be slight variations from print to print as well as their placement. These are not to be viewed as imperfections but rather they lend each item a uniqueness and character.

Items that have been altered with Natural Dye have undergone a process that takes a minimum of 4 days.
The dyes that I use come from various tree barks.
The fabric I use is first scoured so that all residues and dirt have been completely removed.
Then there are two stages of mordanting which prepares the fabric to be receptive to the dye.
Sometimes two or three different dye baths are required to achieve a particular depth of colour which, of course, lengthens the time required as each bath needs to "sit" overnight.
As well, I sometimes use an "assist" which helps to darken or "sadden" a colour.
All in all, you can see that it usually takes the better part of a week for the whole dye process.
