These photographic prints are made on my 9-color Epson Stylus Pro 3880 professional printer on 8.5" x 11" (21.6 x 28 cm) Hahnemuhle Heavyweight (305GSM) Matte Fine Art Photo Rag paper, with white borders, which fit into standard 8.5" x 11" (21.6 x 28 cm) frames--no need for mats. Print permanence rating: your lifetime depending upon your display/storage conditions (www.Wilhelm-research.com).

Photos are inserted into a crystal-clear acetate sleeve with an acid-free stiff card, then shipped in a stiff photo-mailer by post.

What is a giclée print?

Giclee comes from French and translated literally means “squirt”, which in this case refers to the process by which the ink is applied to the paper. The nozzles of an inkjet printer spray a pattern of very fine drops onto the paper that later form the picture. The term giclee connotes an artwork, a photograph or a digitally produced work reproduced on an inkjet printer. The image is generated onto coated, archival artist’s paper using pigmented inks (UV resistant). (From Hahnemuhle.com).

The book, PHOTOGRAPHS OF PROVENCE, contains more than 100 photos of people, scenery, historical buildings (interiors and exteriors) with brief captions.

The book, IMPERIAL GARDENS OF JAPAN, is a photo book about four imperial gardens in Kyoto, Japan, with an extensive introduction to each garden, and elaborate captions for the many illustrations.
