ReThrive Designs (formerly Strung Up Recycled Guitar String Jewelry) was born in March 2009. Glen, my husband, is a wonderful musician and has spent his life singing, teaching and performing. Many years of changing guitar strings inspired him to create jewelry using strings from his guitars and those of his many students. Creativity and Inspiration were the sole factors which led to this genius idea. Every true artist creates otherwise you aren't really an artist at all!! We never saw guitar string jewelry anywhere and so we were thrilled at the possibilities. It took him several months to convince me that this idea was really worth pursuing. I think thousands of fans would agree they are glad I listened? Each design found here in our shop is unique to our company and has been birthed from pure inspiration and originality. We will always strive to keep creating and offering fresh new ideas to you, our loyal fans and customers.

Everywhere we have been, people always ask the story behind our products. I can't tell you that story without first telling you who my husband is. Glen was diagnosed with bipolar and obsessive compulsive disorders in 1987 and we have spent our entire married life learning how to manage his disease. If you know anything about mental illness, you know there is tremendous stigma and loss surrounding the disease. This is why our company message is important. This is why we want you to buy our product. Surviving mental illness is a life-long challenge that takes perseverance and commitment. Our passion has always been to not just survive, but thrive. ReThrive Designs has helped us to thrive in many ways! The creativity keeps us alive and vibrant. Making new designs is often a form of therapy. When people make a purchase and send a raving review, those feelings make our hearts swell with pride. We feel valued and complete because we know the world is watching and listening and learning.
