**Wood jewelry (especially rings) should not come into contact with water! Wood always wants to absorb water causing it to swell. As it dries it shrinks again and this can lead to cracks and breakage. You should take your wood ring off to do dishes, shower, and wash your hands. If it gets wet dry it off right away.
