Hi! I'm kAt!

kAt Philbin originally hails from the middle of nowhere in Southwest Missouri, in a liminal space between forest and field. She grew up in a spooky old house, reading lots of books and endlessly doodling.

She uses pen and ink linework and watercolor, to create intricate illustrations of dark forests, lost girls, and mysterious creatures... or silly illustrations of spooky dudes, dirty shrooms, and lots of cat butts. There is no limit, just a good time.

kAt currently lives in sunny Burbank, California with a small garden and a thriving sourdough starter. An opossum sometimes visits the tangle of passionflower vines outside her bedroom window and an owl hoots from her rooftop in the middle of the night.
