I'm a late 30's aged gal, from SC. I live with my husband, two daughters and one old four-legged gal. I love to knit, sew, quilt, decorate (and redecorate) my home.

As far as crafting goes, I'm a late bloomer. I didn't get bitten by the crafting bug until I was 25. My first crafting adventures involved painting flower pots. After a friend taught me how to knit back in 2002, I pushed on and never looked back!

Several years ago, I fell in love with thrifting and upcycling. This is how my shop was born. I was buying so many things, and doing makeovers on them, that I didn't have the space to keep them. It was then that I decided to open an Etsy shop for my Shabby Chic and Flea Market style home decor items.

Of course, you can't thrift and not buy vintage so about a year after my shop was open, I added vintage home decor and accessory items to the shop. I love to curate, and I'll collect things for months, sometimes years to create a perfect grouping, which I then use in my home or sell here on Etsy.

About a year ago, I began making and selling burlap buntings in my shop. Since then, they've become my most popular items. Because of this, I've decided to re-brand and change the focus of my shop to include more items that are handmade by me. My original shop name was The Speckled Dog, which was named after my blog. I have recently changed my shop name to Sweet Caroline Home.
