TSmithDesigns's Shop Announcement

Welcome!
My name is Teresa Smith Mulkey.

I have always been a creative person. I have studied many aspects of design throughout my life. I started sewing at a young age and even made pinata's that I sold at my mom's beauty shop. I have studied Jewelry Design in High School to Art History. Architecture, Landscape Architecture and Interior Design studies too.

I have worked in these fields as well. My desire to create and my continued interest in all design led me to pick up my jewelry design where I had left off years ago. (I was bitten by the horse bug and still ride and show horses now. But, it kept me from pursuing a design degree)

I use traditional metalsmith techniques creating each piece by hand. I love the texture of materials. One of my favorite techniques is water casting. The natural shape of the castings lends itself to my designs. They are very organic and often represent forms found in nature. My years of growing up in Southern California and my love of the ocean and nature have evolved into my current works.
