You may have stopped into this shop because you are a little bit quirky. The good news is that you are in the right place if you enjoy small, coneshaped, colorful, one-of-a-kind needlefelted gnomes and other fun toys and gifts! I love the concept of a gnome society and all of it's inner workings. Gnomes are known to be clever, devoted, industrious, family-oriented...and a little mischievous. I like to reach into my imagination and tell a story about each creature I create, and what their place and value is in their social structure. In my make-believe world the gnomes are loving, respectful of mother earth and each other, colorful and full of personality. Just like how I'd like to see our world ...if it were perfect.
I love to make toys and gifts that are of a higher consciousness. As you browse, you will notice that I utilize healthy materials..natural fibers such as wool and silk, food grade dyes, unfinished wood, AP certified watercoIors and inks ...all healthy, nontoxic ingredients so that when the life of the toy is over it can retire to the earth gently. Jaunty Gnomes are handcrafted by me, Stephanie, with love and care in my clean, smoke free, happy home. For those concerned about allergies, we do have a basset hound ...but mademoiselle does not have access to my work area or materials.
