Welcome
Hello and Welcome to "The Well and Spindle!"
Every magical goody you find here except for commercial altar supplies have been lovingly handcrafted with intent and purpose. I make these items for many reasons, one of which is for those like myself who are disenchanted with the mass produced magical items found in most Occult and Metaphysical shops.
All herbs are either grown in my own garden (like my smudge sticks when I make them), are bought from organic providers or wild harvested by outside sources. In the rare case the item is not organic there should be a disclaimer on the item.

THE FEATHER AND SCALE
The items I am selling under the tab "The Feather and Scale" are either handmade creations made by my friend Dana or other products intended to help raise funds so she can create more beautiful things! Please help me help her by purchasing her beautiful work!

THL Dubh Easa na Inishmore (Dana Warder-Ellenwood) has been part of the SCA (Society for Creative Anachronism) for a good 16+ years. She is a wonderful seamstress and artist who can create custom garb, Viking Knitting jewelry, crocheted and knitted items among MANY other things. She lives in Escondido, CA and helps lead a pirate household called "The House of the Raven's Call" in the Barony of Calafia in the Kingdom of Caid.
Payment
I currently only accept paypal. There is a deadline of two days to pay for an item before it is placed back on the virtual shelves. HOWEVER, you MUST contact me if this is to occur. OTHERWISE your sale will be canceled in 24 hours. If you do not have paypal and would REALLY like an item please message me first and we can TRY to work something out!
Shipping
I ship my items using the United States Postal Service and use First Class or Priority to help ensure it gets there promptly!
Shipments go out every few days. Depending on the item they will either be wrapped in tissue and placed in a bubble envelope or placed in a cardboard box and sealed with tape. I generally will either add bubble wrap, foam peanuts and/or tissue to protect items. NOTE: I reuse packaging from other orders I have received (such as when I order bottles, etc) because I do not believe in wasting them and supporting buying new things such as Styrofoam peanuts. Please either reuse or recycle the materials I send your package in! Every little bit helps our precious Mother Earth. I try hard to ensure your items are protected and properly secure and also that I am not creating too much waste!
INSURANCE: I do not add insurance when shipping but if you would care for insurance please contact me promptly and I will gladly add it for a small fee.

Refunds and Exchanges
I DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS or give refunds. These items are magical in nature and therefore I cannot take them back. If there is a serious problem we MAY come to a compromise of sorts but I cannot guarantee this will occur.
Different situations call for different ways of solving problems so I will deal with other problems as they come.
The easiest way to not have problems is to make sure you really REALLY want one of my items before buying it!
ALSO, please note I am not responsible for lost or damaged items that I have shipped through USPS. Once the package is out of my hands I can do no more to ensure its safe arrival.

IMPORTANT NOTE ON POPPETS: all the poppets are handmade and therefore can have many differences. No two poppets are alike or exactly the same height, width, weight, etc. I use books to wrap the yarn for my poppets and whenever I have a sudden inspiring moment I sometimes may just grab the nearest book and get working! These poppets can be given to children but please remember they are made of yarn and do not take rough playing with well.
