It was the summer of 2012 that we (my wife and I) decided to sell our Language School in Athens and move to a rural mountainous area in the middle of Greece called Eurytania.(In the midst of the Greek crisis...how crazy was that?....Very, according to all our friends).
From then on, things have not been easy, we needed to learn everything from scratch, to transcend from our yuppie background to a new more nature bound mindset. The money we had set aside, disappeared in no time, things were not exactly the romantic picture we had created in our minds, BUT we have changed so much in the past 2 years that there's no turning back (Thank God).
In the middle of our natural building, natural farming, eco-friendly economy, mushroom and herb recognition and foraging, I started experimenting with woodworking, which was a lifelong desire. We discovered that the locals, who treat the forest all around as a source of timber for woodstoves and fireplaces, cut whole trees leaving behind treasures (in my eyes) as worthless pieces of scrap wood. What we also discovered is that we LOVE WOOD in all forms and shapes. This is the basic source of our materials, including various other wonders which we simply find hiking in the forest.
Every project we endeavor in, involves a lot of experimenting and failures that feed our rocket mass heater, but we Try to manage TO PRODUCE NATURAL FOREST WOOD PROJECTS, with taste and most of all with respect towards the economy of nature.
Other products that appear in our shop also adhere to the same principals and philosophy.
