Hooray for recycling fabric! Hooray for making the old new!
Most everything Made by Mawed is RECYCLED. I cut up unwanted clothes and fabrics to redesign them into unique and cool new things. Once a month I close up my Etsy shop and invite people over for a house party where they can touch, inspect, or try on my work in person, donate unwanted clothes, take from the free bin, and buy in cash. Some of my friends, and my mother, have also been making some nifty homemade items which I sometimes offer on my Etsy page for sale. I will make note of it in the description if it was made by someone else. The things I make have raw edges and are often obvious pieces of old jeans or curtains, while my mother buys her fabric and sews in a more polished style.
