ThreadsOfMeaning's Shop Announcement

Threads of Meaning is a collection of my hand made creations and the materials I use to make them. I am a madly promiscuous Fiber Artist who cannot commit to any one technique or material. I quilt, sew, spin, knit, crochet, weave, make dolls, rugs (hooked and braided) and tat. I have had articles in Art and Antiques (May 2001) and American Quilter (Ultimate Projects 2004). I have sold work to the State of Hawaii and some very dedicated private collectors. I dye my own fibers and use vintage and new materials. I tend to prefer traditional techniques and natural materials used in innovative ways. For more background information go to http://www.threadsofmeaning.com to see what I'm up to lately.

ThreadsOfMeaning's Shop Policies

Welcome

Over the past 5 decades I have come to realize that I am a madly promiscuous fiber artist. I make things by hand, I make them with fiber and I cannot commit to any one technique or finished object. I make dolls that are based on real live children. If you want one based on your own real live child I can happily do that. I make quilts that are one of a kind and will do commissions on request. I spin, knit, crochet and weave. I create clothing using any combination of techniques, although I have a particular fondness for the Victorian and Colonial eras. I make rugs, both braided and hooked. I really, really love my work and I work pretty much constantly so the site will be updated frequently and the stock will vary in kind....but not quality.

Payment

I will always accept PayPal. On a case by case basis I will accept personal checks. If that works better for you convo me and we'll work it out.

Shipping

I will ship by the least expensive and safest method. Both are important to me. Sometimes that will be U.S. Post, sometimes FedEx. I will let you know which one I am using for your purchase in a convo.

Refunds and Exchanges

I want you to be delighted with your purchase. If you are not delighted I will reimburse you for the purchase cost. There is no time limit on this or any extenuating conditions. I really mean it. I will need your object returned to me (I'll pay for return shipping) so that I can see what went wrong and make corrections for future projects.

Additional Policies and FAQs

I am happy to do consignment and custom orders. I won't wholesale because producing mass quantities of one item over and over makes me sad.
