I have two great passions - quilling and jewelry. When I realized that these two loves could be "married" my creative juices started to flow, and the rest is history. I'm still in awe of the intricate beauty that can be produced when simple paper strips cross paths with boundless imagination!

For those of you unfamiliar with quilling, its done by twirling narrow strips of paper around a needle. (Therefore, my name, "Twirled" Treasures, seemed like the natural choice). The 1/8" wide paper strips are shaped and then turned on end, thus producing a very strong and durable piece once the adhesive is dry (then varnished to make them water resistant)... so no need to shy away from adorning yourself with this truly unconventional art form!

** DID YOU REALIZE THAT THE TRADITIONAL GIFT FOR A FIRST WEDDING ANNIVERSARY IS PAPER? I researched some of the suggestions that were given online, and they included things like books, stationery, board games, puzzles, coupons and calendars ... how romantic is that? If you have a first anniversary coming up, or know of someone who does, as a much more personal alternative why not suggest one of these truly enchanting pieces ... a gift that will always reflect and embrace the precious memories of that first year spent as one!

Most of my "treasures" have taken several hours or more to design, measure, cut, assemble and complete, but I hope you will be pleased with the results!
