Let me tell you a story.
In the beginning there was all of those colors and all of those dreams that I collected in a little pile. But the pile got bigger and bigger, so much that one day I started weaving them together into small things for people to wear, cherish and make up stories about.
Each of the pieces I create has a story behind them. From one of Berlin's antique junk shop to a French flea market, I relentlessly and lovingly collect the materials and elements which I incorporate in my designs.
I draw most of my inspiration from myths, dreams and colorful tales of time long gone as well as modern art and music.
I make accessories for people who want to stand out from the big grey crowd and live out their dreams.
A few words about the name Tzunuum :
" According to Mayan folklore, Tzunuum was the first hummingbird. She didn't have any colors and didn't mind. She took pride in her flying abilities rather than in her appearance.
Before her wedding, she realized she didn't not have a gown nor necklace.
She was so sad that all of her friends joined themselves and made her a gown and a veil.
When the wedding day arrived, Tzunuum was so surprised, happy and grateful that she could barely twitter her vows. The Great Spirit so admired her humble, honest soul that he sent word down with his messenger the swallow, that the hummingbird could wear her wedding gown for the rest of her life. And to this day she has."
