"Ukay Ukay Moda" is from the concept of refashioning recycled materials into style. "Ukay Ukay" is a slang term from the Philippines, primarily in Manila, which means second hand clothing/items that are sold in markets. "Ukay" means "Hukay/Halukay", which literally means "dig". "Moda" means fashion, or style.
I am inspired by the colorful diaspora of the world we live in, taking nothing and making it into something new and unique.
Most items are handmade or vintage, one of a kind, and most are of limited quantity.
