***Materials of Inspiration***

.·:*¨¨*:·.ARGENTINE LIGNUM VITAE.·:*¨¨*:·.
{bulnesia sarmientoi}
This lemony-spicy aromatic wood is like a deep jungle; ranging in color from golden brown to dark greenish brown, with a striped, feathery grain pattern.

.·:*¨¨*:·.GENUINE LIGNUM VITAE.·:*¨¨*:·.
{guaiacum officinale}
This deliciously nutty wood is like a peaceful forest; with it's feathery grain pattern ranging in color from the golden-green of sunlight filtering through the leaves, to the deepest brown of the forest floor.

·:*¨¨*:·.PINK IVORY.·:*¨¨*:·.
{berchemia zeyheri}
This juicy, bright wood is like ripe fruit; ranging from watermelon pink to a succulent raspberry color.

.·:*¨¨*:·.OSAGE ORANGE.·:*¨¨*:·.
{maclura pomifera}
This warm, inviting wood is like a sun-kissed prairie with it's lovely golden-orange tone and dappled grain.

.·:*¨¨*:·.BLOODWOOD.·:*¨¨*:·.
{brosimum rubescens}
This rich wood is like long auburn tresses, with chatoyancy that varies to a darker ruby-chocolate shade.

.·:*¨¨*:·.EBONY.·:*¨¨*:·.
{diospyrus crassiflora}
This deep wood is like the black of the night sky; only deep chocolate brown streaks dare penetrate it's intense void.

.·:*¨¨*:·.TIGER EBONY.·:*¨¨*:·.
{diospyros embryopteris}
This scrumptious wood is a delicious vanilla color, shot through with pitch black and dark chocolate colored veins and swirls.

.·:*¨¨*:·.BEES WING NARRA.·:*¨¨*:·.
{pterocarpus indicus}
This evanescent wood is like the faerie creatures from which it takes it's name; a lovely toasted brown with a grain pattern reminiscent of flitting wings.

.·:*¨¨*:·.BONE.·:*¨¨*:·.
All of the bone used in my art is the by-product of naturally raised, grass-fed cows and bison that lived happy lives on small family farms. By turning the bones into wearable art, the ancient tradition of using the whole animal lives on. The bone ranges in color from pure white to light tan.

.·:*¨¨*:·.FEATHERS.·:*¨¨*:·.
The feathers used in my jewelry are a by-product from free-range birds that are naturally raised on small family farms with love.

.·:*¨¨*:·.ANODIZED NIOBIUM.·:*¨¨*:·.
Niobium is a naturally dark gray reactive metal, named after Niobe, a queen of Greek mythology.
It is hypoallergenic, which means that it is very rare to produce an allergic reaction in anyone, so it is especially wonderful for those with sensitive skin.
The amazing process of anodizing changes this metal a variety of colors without dyes. To anodize niobium, an electric current is passed through a water solution, into which the metal is dipped. Beautiful colors are the result, including green, pink, purple, blue, silver and gold.

.·:*¨¨*:·.SILVER.·:*¨¨*:·.
This luminescent precious metal shines in shades from bright polished moonlight all the way to the mysterious and dark bottom of a still pond.

.·:*¨¨*:·.COPPER.·:*¨¨*:·.
This beautiful, rustic metal glows like a cinnamon flame.

.·:*¨¨*:·.BRASS.·:*¨¨*:·.
This metal is evocative of times past with it's antique patina, and ranges from a dusky bronze to reddish gold.

.·:*¨¨*:·.AMETHYST.·:*¨¨*:·.
This translucent and purple stone helps the wearer attain wisdom, and to let go of past attachments that might be holding them back.

.·:*¨¨*:·.PYRITE.·:*¨¨*:·.
This glittery gold stone is helpful in grounding and meditation, and also stimulating to the intellect.

.·:*¨¨*:·.LEOPARD SKIN JASPER.·:*¨¨*:·.
This warm toned stone is reminiscent of a jungle cat's coat, and is helpful in attracting what one needs for spiritual or physical healing.

.·:*¨¨*:·.TUSSAH AND MUGA SILK.·:*¨¨*:·.
These are special varieties of silk, spun from the cocoons of wild silkworms, after they have completed their transformation, therefore it is often known as "peace silk" since no creatures are harmed in it's making. It varies in color from a lustrous gold to a tawny creme, to a dark, earthy brown.
