This Canadian artist began playing guitar flat on his lap when he was three years old. When he was 17 he formed his first band, Blue Direction, playing cover hits in bars and clubs across Toronto.

By 1988 his self named band released their first album, aptly titled, See The Light. This album released two very popular hits that we still hear today. He went on to release many more albums.

You'll most recognize this man in a popular movie released in 1989, in which he played the bar's cover band.. I still see re-runs of this movie a few times a year, starring Patrick Swayze.

In Toronto, you'll find a jazz and blues club which bears his name and the movie he starred in, where he played every Thursday and Saturday.

Born in 1966, this very talented singer lost his life weeks before his 42nd birthday to cancer.
