Welcome to the Weekndr shop on Etsy. I create handmade wood objects from decorative wood veneers using a classic woodworking technique called Marquetry. The technique involves creating "pictures in wood" by cutting and assembling decorative wood veneer into colorful patterns and designs. The technique is most often used in furniture making, but I apply it to everyday objects including my famous checkerboard skateboard deck and the venerable mouse pad. I'm always looking for new applications for my marquetry designs and would consider custom inquiries.
