My name is Leah and I've been dyeing and selling fiber and yarn since 2005. I started spinning about 8 years ago and have been knitting some 30 years now. I have extensive knowledge of different (primarily protein) fiber types and am happy to answer any questions you may have about the fibers I sell.

My mission is to provide primarily AMERICAN MADE items here ~ most of my rovings are from sheep raised by US shepherds, processed in a US mill and dyed here by me :) The yarns I sell are almost all spun here in Michigan at a large family-owned woolen mill. All of my fleeces & locks have been purchased from U.S. shepherds and are carefully hand-washed and hand-picked by me. I occasionally use imported fibers and yarns in my dye work but the bulk of my stock is local or, at the very least, American :)
My yarns and fibers range from good basic sturdy wools that are excellent for long-wearing socks and other garments that need some strength to finer, very soft things like merino, alpaca, angora bunny, kid mohair and silk. My yarns are NOT like the commercial imported sock yarns that many folks sell...there's a very wide diversity in my stock but I hope the listings will give you the information you need to make the right choice.
