Hand painting a silk scarf using gutta or resist to make the design. The silk is stretched on a frame with sharp pins. -
I absolutely Love what I do and I'm thankful to God to be ale to do it! -
As a break from the tight control of silk painting I can let it all go and create these little tapestry art scarves.

Welcome to my Etsy store, Yasmin's Silk Studio. I have a BFA in Fine Art. I am also a (retired) belly dancer. I fell in love with silks through dancing with silk veils. As an artist it was only natural that I would see silk as my newest canvas!

Frequently asked questions
What is the turn around time for your products?
Well, that is a good question. I am a one woman shop. The turn around time varies due to the availability of materials that I might have in stock or have to order. I do use some blanks and in that case the turn around will be between 1 day-3 weeks.
If it is something I make off the bolt then it could take longer depending on the request.
It also depends on the technique used. Somethings I can do in a day or two and some things just take considerably longer.
The items you see in my shop are available for purchase immediately.
