Japanese Cut Art with WASHI
YukoJapaneseCutArt's Shop Announcement
A Happy new Year.
Born in Aizu-Wakamatsu, Japan, Yuko spent many years studying traditional Japanese art forms such as paper folding (Origami), "cut art" (Kiri-e), and the Sogetsu style of flower arrangement (Ikebana).
In 2003, Yuko arrived in Montreal, and continued to develop her original style in producing artwork suitable for framing, and in creating unique greeting cards featuring Japanese elements such as traditional dolls, folded fans, and so on.
She is currently focused upon creation of her own paper cutting designs that extend traditional cut-art technique by including multiple layers of patterned or textured Japanese paper (washi).
This popular Japanese art form uses cut paper to produce a hard-edged representation of a subject, with very high contrast when in its most basic form (e.g., black paper on a white background).
If the item you purchase is not framed, I will add a card-baord behind and it is well protected. The items are framed that also well protected as well.
I also provide ''Japanese style wrapping service'' without additional fee. Please notify me if you need.
You can also visit " www.yuko-cutart.com" you will find more!!
And please remind that the all prices are US $.
Thank you for stopping at my shop.
