About me (for more see my profile):
I began spinning as a child and eventually took up weaving. It is hard to use only hand-spun yarns in my hand-weaving and still make it affordable, considering the labor and costs, so I use local renewable resources of mill-end yarns and recycled materials whenever possible in general production. I try to balance the costs while remaining true to the traditions, processes, and nature of the artisanal craft. I believe artisan work should be accepted and valued similarly to other professions with consideration to our training, experience, and creativity that goes into our finished products.

I work on 4 & 8-Harness hand- and foot-powered counter-balance, counter-marche, and jack looms of varying sizes (and origins) from table to floor models, all operated by hand and foot (no fly-shuttles, computers or dobby systems), as well as many varieties of spinning wheels, historic and modern, to create limited edition pieces and custom items.
