Frequently asked questions

Perfume gives me headaches; can I use your products?

Yes! Many of our products include essential oils for their pleasing fragrances and cosmetic benefits, but fear not! Those of us (Lissa included) with sensitivities to scents are often reacting to the synthetic compounds that are used in commercial perfumery. You'll never find synthetic fragrance products in our shop.

If you'd still prefer scent-free options, we offer unscented Beard Oil ("Baselayer"), and we're more than happy to customize our other products to suit your needs; drop us a line for more info!

When will I receive my order?

Expedited options are available at checkout, but timeframes are not guaranteed. For rush processing and guaranteed expedited delivery by a certain date, please contact us for a price quote before placing your order.

STANDARD DELIVERY:
Your order will ship within 3-5 business days of receipt of payment. We ship all orders with Canada Post; they estimate the following delivery times:

CANADA: Canada Post Expedited Parcel; expect it 2-9 business days after departure.

USA: Canada Post Tracked Packet USA; expect it 4-10 business days after departure.

INTERNATIONAL: Canada Post Small Packet International Air; expect it 6-10 business days after departure.

Will I receive a tracking number for my shipment?

It depends on your location:

CANADA: tracking is included by default.

USA: tracking is included by default. To track your package, use www.canadapost.ca or Etsy's tracking function while the package is in Canada. Use www.tools.usps.com once the package is in the States.

INTERNATIONAL: tracking is not included by default because it is cost prohibitive to do so. Please contact us if you have not received your package within 10 business days of its departure. If you'd like to receive a price quote for trackable international shipping, please contact us!

Do you combine products for reduced shipping rates?

Yes; if you're ordering more than one item, you can contact us prior to ordering for a reduced shipping quote!

Or, if you purchase multiple items each with standard shipping, we'll promptly refund you any shipping overages.

Do you refund shipping overages?

You bet! We strive to set our shipping costs as accurately as possible. If you paid more for shipping than it costed us to ship, we will issue your shipping overage refund on the same day your item ships.

What is the shelf life of your products?

Ideal shelf life is 6 months in your bathroom or 1 year in a refrigerator. While our products benefit from the natural antioxidant properties of exotic oils and Vitamin E, they will not last indefinitely.

For large bottles that will last you longer than 6 months, try portioning half of your product into a separate glass container and keeping it sealed in your fridge until needed.

To prevent degradation of your product, store upright with cap on and away from direct sunlight.

Do you accept returns?

Generally, we cannot accept returns because we are unable to re-sell returned products. There are two reasons for this:

1. We take sanitization seriously. Our products are made with sterilized equipment in a clean workspace. Once a product has left our home and been opened, we can no longer be sure that it is safe from contamination.

2. Our products are perishable. With proper storage they will last at least one year, but once a product has left our home, we cannot be sure of the conditions in which it was stored and therefore can no longer attest to its shelf-life.

That said, we know that special cases do arise; please don't hesitate to contact us if you are unsatisfied for any reason!
